"Knowing others is intelligence, knowing yourself is true wisdom."
- Tao Te Ching
It seems as though I'm always emphasizing the importance of knowing one's self. All too many people concern themselves entirely too much with what others are doing or not doing. It's also not unlikely for one to study the far reaches of outer space without ever giving any thought to what lies within.
Knowing others, I mean really knowing others, is a good thing to be able to do. It is, however, of greater importance to know yourself. Once you come to terms with whom and what you are, you'll find that, that knowledge alone can propel you to greater heights than you've ever previously imagined.
